PLAN FOR NEXT YEAR March 14-16, 2013

WELCOME

#nwmc2012

I’m just sayin’…

Silos are good for farmers, not so good for church ministries.

I recently had a meeting with an Executive Pastor of a large church. I’m not sure

when large becomes “mega”, but it was a big one. He said to me with some sadness, “I can go all Sunday at church and never have a kid run into me and…I don’t think that’s a good thing.”

One of the hot topics in today’s church is Family Ministry. Everyone is trying to

figure out just what “it” is and how to do “it”.

Here is my charge to you:

Just as families get together for holidays and reunions to compare height and

familial likenesses, get together as a church family to share life stories, too.

Re-connect at least 2 or 3 times a year.

Have some fun and celebrate together. See and hear what God is doing in your

forever family.

I remember a line in a movie I saw years ago where one young man asked

another, “Why do old people like to water so much?” The other responded, “I

think it’s because they like to see things grow.”

Spend some time together with your church family. You might be surprised how

much you like them!
